POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary responsibility of the Adolescent Counselor position is to serve our mission by delivering compassionate, ethical, and quality care to our adolescent clients and to provide the day-to-day clinical activities in accordance with internal policies, and federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern Northpoint. The Adolescent Counselor will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned clients, as required by contractual and licensure obligations. In tandem with our multidisciplinary team, this role is entrusted to ensure that the highest degree of quality care will always be provided to our patients. Our clinical staff have a unique opportunity for professional growth and make a significant difference in the lives of many through their work with our diverse patient population.

THE MUST HAVES:

  • Master’s Degree of Mental Health, Social Sciences required
  • Current, unencumbered, active mental health licensure to practice as a Counselor in the state where treatment services are rendered, at hire and for the entire duration of employment
  • LPC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred. License-eligible individuals are encouraged to inquire about opportunities for those working towards licensure
  • Current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Knowledge of computer and EMR systems
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Enthusiasm, passion for working with people, and internal drive to improve the lives of individuals in our care
  • We love new grads! However, two (2) years of experience as a Counselor with one (1) year of adolescent experience would really dazzle us!!
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as professional reference checks
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear

Job Type: Part-Time

Compensation:

  • $30.00 to $42.00 per hour
