Type: This is a full-time on site role in our Meridian, ID office

Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a growing, behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Northpoint team, the Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the Controller with maintaining the daily accounting operations as well as financial statement preparation for the organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with the monthly and annual close process, and prepare and post journal entries
  • Develop monthly accruals based on analysis of expense and balance sheet accounts
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, review for input accuracy, and budget to actual analysis
  • Assist in preparation of weekly financial reports for management to include AP and -cash flow
  • Maintain subsidiary schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Answer accounting related questions by researching and interpreting procedures, inputs, and results
  • Assist with annual financial audit process
  • Review expense reports and credit card transactions for accuracy and proper coding to the General Ledger
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
  • Other appropriate services and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or commensurate experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as an Accountant; preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with a growing company with multiple entities preferred
  • Customer service oriented

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience with Sage Intacct accounting systems
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated organizational skills
  • Comfortable analyzing information and dealing with complexity
  • Able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Design effective reporting that enables business leaders to have clear visibility to timely and accurate business results
  • Responsible for the consolidation of data from multiple sources to develop reports
  • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
  • Enhance the environment needed to automate reporting and self-service reporting
  • Produce KPIs with consideration to user friendly dashboards
  • Proactively explore and identify data driven challenges with the business
  • Process confidential data and information according to guidelines, including financial and internal controls
  • Develop reports for analysis in support of Finance team
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2 and all other established policies, procedures and standards of care
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and upon reasonable suspicion of use
  • Completion of new employee orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work, including acknowledgment of all Company policies
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within the first 90 days of employment
  • Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
  • Completion of background and professional reference checks
  • Completion of a Motor Vehicle Record Check
